Ingredients

  • 2 lb thick white fish fillets, such as cod or grouper
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 cup tahini
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup cold water

  • 2 tsp Aleppo pepper
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin

  2. Whisk the tahini, lemon juice, cold water and remaining salt until smooth and pourable.
  3. Warm the remaining oil in a skillet and cook the garlic, cilantro, Aleppo pepper, coriander and cumin for 2 minutes. Stir in the walnuts.
  4. Stir half the herb mixture into the tahini sauce and pour it over the fish, then spoon the rest on top.
